Just up the road from Old Rag Cottage is the White Oak Canyon parking and trails. This trail features some of the best waterfalls in Shenandoah National Park. One of the best and most scenic places to visit in Virginia, Shenandoah National Park is filled with natural beauty. Explore the many trails the park has to offer and enjoy the wildlife all throughout the park. The best entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive from Old Rag Cottage is the Thornton Gap Entrance Station, just outside of Sperryville, VA. Another mile or two up the road from the White Oak area sits the foothill of Old Rag Mountain. One of the most spectacular views in the Blue Ridge, Old Rag sits at 3291ft. and is undoubtedly one of the most popular hiking attractions in Virginia. Below is a link for the trail map. Shenandoah National Park
